Rocket Powered Fidget Spinner

Ok thats it, Fidget Spinner trend is over, cause this is the best one ever!! 😉 I built a custom fidget spinner out of 1/4in aluminum plate and strapped 3 E sized rocket engines.

Really, I just wanted to do this. I saw Stephens video and needed answers. Plus, this gave me an excuse to buy a Plasma Cutter ive been eyeballing for yearssss. (dont tell sandra I could have made this with a jigsaw..)

The spinner has a 6 inch radius, so it travels ~37 inches to make a full circle. Its spinning 88 times per second (5200 per minute), so that means the tip is traveling 276 feet per second, or 188.182 MPH. so yeah, 1000mph fidget spinner is pretty much impossible… Who will accept my challenge?

Road Safety / The Virtual Crash Billboard / Serviplan France

By: Serviceplan France

Originally published on Apr 11, 2017

LA SECURITE ROUTIERE D’ILE DE FRANCE AND SERVICEPLAN GIVE PEDESTRIANS QUITE A SHOCK… FOR THEIR OWN PROTECTION

Serviceplan held an unprecedented field operation on 22nd March in Paris to raise awareness about the dangers of being a careless pedestrian, which results in 4,500 victims each year in Ile-de-France.

The idea behind the operation was to display a specially designed interactive digital billboard near a busy pelican crossing. Equipped with a movement detector, speaker, and camera, the smart billboard made the sound of squealing tyres whenever a pedestrian attempted to cross the road while the “red man” was displayed.

The frightened faces of the disobedient pedestrians were projected directly onto the billboard. Their faces were then featured on the road safety billboards, and their photographs are shown alongside the caption: “Don’t look death in the face. Check the lights and cross safely”.

The digital video and posters, created under real-life conditions, will be used as part of the forthcoming “Quinzaine Régionale des Usagers Vulnérables” (15-28 May 2017) (train station billboards, Facebook campaign, etc.)

【360° Movie】Tokyo Light Odyssey

【360° Movie】Tokyo Light Odyssey (Full) from WOW inc on Vimeo.

About the Work
From the lights of skyscrapers and homes, to the neon street lights and headlamps of cars and trains in motion… fragments of the city float like stardust out of the darkness against the curtain of the night sky. This new vision of Tokyo is explored with omnidirectional motion graphics.

This work was born from ‘Beyond Motion Graphics’ ( http://wowlab.net/research/beyond-motiongraphics ) an internal company project at WOW aimed at exploring new possibilities for motion graphics. In using VR technology, consideration was given as to what kind of images to showcase and express as pieces of art.
