In this hand drawn animation a line is being extrapolated through a grid. When the line surpasses the boundaries of the grid, the process spreads to and reflects on its surroundings. Beyond each boundary the extrapolation of movement is causing deformation in a systematic but speculative way.

This work was created with support from ”Animation Artist in Residence Tokyo 2016” part of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan (Bunka-cho) ”Project to invite overseas creators of media arts 2016” and the Mondriaan Fund.

【360° Movie】Tokyo Light Odyssey

【360° Movie】Tokyo Light Odyssey (Full) from WOW inc on Vimeo.

About the Work
From the lights of skyscrapers and homes, to the neon street lights and headlamps of cars and trains in motion… fragments of the city float like stardust out of the darkness against the curtain of the night sky. This new vision of Tokyo is explored with omnidirectional motion graphics.

This work was born from ‘Beyond Motion Graphics’ ( http://wowlab.net/research/beyond-motiongraphics ) an internal company project at WOW aimed at exploring new possibilities for motion graphics. In using VR technology, consideration was given as to what kind of images to showcase and express as pieces of art.

Nikon in Space: time-lapse view of the world | Nikon 100th Anniversary

By: Nikon Europe

Originally published on Apr 18, 2017

Nikon’s history in Space began with the Nikon Photomic FTN, a modified Nikon F camera that was used aboard the Apollo 15 in 1971 and Nikon cameras have been aboard every manned space flight since. This film, edited by SmugMug Films, is a compiled time-lapse video using thousands of still images. The bright flashes are lightning strikes hitting the earth, watch and enjoy.

This is the first of many remarkable moments, both big and small, which we will be sharing in the lead up to Nikon 100th Anniversary! Stay tuned for more. 🙂

Jerobeam Fenderson – Blocks 3D (Anaglyph)

Watch with anaglyph 3D glasses!
red = left eye
cyan = right eye

There should be an option to watch on Google Cardboard when on mobile.
Side by Side version for 3D TV / VR Headsets / etc.: https://youtu.be/q1cc-bEXkTs
Original track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KDek…
more: http://oscilloscopemusic.com

What you see is what you hear: The audio signal is fed into a software oscilloscope, where vector graphics are drawn with sound. This is done twice, with slightly rotated images for each eye, i.e. four audio channels have been used.

channel 1: horizontal deflection, left eye
channel 2: vertical deflection, left eye
channel 3: horizontal deflection, right eye
channel 4: vertical deflection, right eye

This video is in stereo because YouTube doesn’t support 4-channel audio, but you can download all the WAVs from http://oscilloscopemusic.com (album download now includes the 4-channel WAV, existing download codes still work!) or https://jerobeamfenderson.bandcamp.co… (2 stereo WAVs).

Major thanks to https://www.youtube.com/hansiraber for all the crazy software!
OsciStudio: http://asdfg.me/oscistudio (current version doesn’t support stereoscopic 3D)
Software Oscilloscope this video was rendered with: http://asdfg.me/osci (now supports 4-channel audio / stereoscopic 3D :))
