Pencils of Promise 400th School Dedication to Eva “Ma” Braun

Read Eva’s story here: http://bit.ly/2lMxcOr

Today, we’re proud to let you know that, since our founding in 2009, we’ve broken ground on our 400th school! Yes, 400.

We celebrate the schools we’ve built together, the communities we’ve partnered with, the teachers we’ve supported and the students who are studying hard every day to get closer to achieving their dreams.

Today, we also remember one of the first members of our PoP Family—the woman who helped inspire a dream of building one school, which inspired a movement for global education. Today, we dedicate our 400th school in loving memory of Eva “Ma” Braun, who passed away in November 2016. For many years now, Ma’s journey of resilience has been a guiding light for our organization, and her inspiration has led us to impact more than 35,000 students in PoP classrooms.

Your PoP Family is forever grateful, Ma.
