This collection of photos was taken by a group of dedicated volunteers across the US during the Aug 21, 2017 total solar eclipse. They have been algorithmically stitched together, based on the time and location of the photo, to give us an extended look at the sun’s atmosphere. Where we have gaps you’ll see the previous image shown for a longer period. As more images are uploaded and processed these will be filled in and the movie will get better and better.
We shoot this back in 2014 and finally decided to release it. Hope you enjoy. We want to share with everyone how we see the world in 4K.

My inspiration came from What’s the Mashup? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmnSm…) but I didn’t manage 100! The idea was to do the same for movies from the Golden Age – meaning no title later than 1953 (although there is one at the end.) Oh, and none of these clips was sped up or slowed down.
If you like the clips, go buy the movies on DVD! And the song on Google Play or iTunes!
And thanks also to IMDB, clipconverter.cc and Nero Video.

The mission: deploy the Maraia Capsule testing the aerodynamics and stability of the payload on re-entry to the atmosphere. The rocket reached an altitude of 396,000ft (120,700 meters) and speeds up to Mach 5.5 (3800mph or 6115km/h) at engine burnout.
